Sue Henderson
I have been a keen artist for the last 30 years, embracing many
different kinds of medium; oils, watercolour, acrylics and
pastel.
I have lived in Kent for 30 years. The village has a very friendly
and talented artistic community that I am very happy and proud
to be part of.

Painting is a much loved hobby for me. I try to use what little
skill I have to the fullest. I like to portray surrounding
buildings and landscapes in this area, which thereby establishes
a record, which can be viewed later, to note various changes
that have occurred, maybe due to development or improvement
over the years. I also like to attempt to recreate some earlierr
artists work bringing it to a bigger audience which otherwise
goes unseeen or forgotten. I am completely self taught and use
a variety of mediums; eg. oil, watercolour and acrylic but tend
to favour oil.
Christine is a highly eclectic artist with a holistic ethos and
oeuvre that encompasses many genres and mediums. She
describes herself as “eclectic, hectic, peptic and occasionally
septic!”. Her work is influenced by a love of patterns in science
and nature but also realism (being somewhat of a Renaissance
girl at heart). Christine obtained a ‘mature’ Fine Art BA in 2010
and is currently working towards an MA in History and
Philosophy of Art. She delights in being mercurial in her
artistic aspirations and further describes herself as…
“Artist, interested in everything!” …which is probably very
nearly true!
